Illustrated in colour and mono, published in a limited edition of 225 copies, and 152 pages bound in dark blue buckram with decoration on the upper cover and complete with a buckram slipcase. 

 

Published to raise funds to secure the Links of Monifieth. The original manuscript has been sensitively reproduced in a close matching typeface and the punctuation of the era has not been changed. It is fully illustrated in colour. The contributors include Andrew Lang, Rev J G McPherson, H S C Everard, D Hay Fleming and Harold H Hilton together members of the Club.

 

The original Advertisements, which have been included, give a delightful insight to the fashions of the time, golf clubs, balls and bicycles, sporting footwear and even jams and marmalades. The book featured golfing photographs, and cartoons, portraits of the members together with those of the ladies who provided the stalls. The Introduction sets the scene for this historic and rare book that gives a unique insight in to the game of golf and local society in Scotland in the late 19th century.
